How to use Study Maps

  • Step 1
    Select a subject and topic

  • Step 2
    Decide on the study map type: syllabus map, exam plan or revision map.

  • Step 3
    Choose your study map colour - relate the colour to the subject/topic where possible

  • Step 4
    Gather the relevant syllabus or notes/textbooks

  • Step 5
    Begin to map out content. Be sequential and keep it simple.

  • Step 6
    Use sketched/graphics to take advantage of dual coding theory

  • Step 7
    Try multiple attempts to build on content and consolidate learning

  • Step 8
    Remove Study Map from the Pad a place on a wall to revisit and cross check information
